Shipping fee
A customer contacted me and said they put an item of mine in their cart and that the shipping price went up 35 cents. They haven't purchased it because they want to know why it happened.
Can anyone explain this? I don't know ifnthey had more than one item in the cart.

If you ship via the US Postal Service (USPS) --
depending on the dates of those actions and the shipping price itself --
it seems possible that the 35 cent increase may have been the result of the US Postal Service's 8% surcharge that went into effect on April 26, 2026.
IF your buyer has a delivery address in Colorado, I suppose it might be possible that those 35 cents are Colorado's road use/delivery fee. I thought the fee was 25 cents or 28 cents, but it also seems possible that Colorado may have recently increased that fee due to soaring gasoline prices.
