Shipping expenses
I posted item with correct dimensions and weight on the box. eBay stated $13-49. I took to usps, they quoted me over $100 due to size of box.
If I print the eBay label, is it discounted that much? I’m afraid usps will not except it.
ups and FedEx are about the same or more.
please help, it seems like I will loose money

OP2 years agoThank you for your information. I did add dimension of box and the weight. So buyers can see the shipping price. But the price eBay tells me is up to $49. If I print out their label, can I really ship it for that price? If I drop it off at shipping location I’m afraid they’ll say it’s too low. But eBay states it’s up to $49. USPS quoted me over $100.
Is the shipping label from eBay excepted?

Mentor2 years ago@powerman151727. Without knowing the package dimensions, weight, and buyers zip I can't tell you if the shipping price is correct.
Also are using ground advantage? That's less expensive than Priority.

Mentor2 years ago@powerman151727 Shipping is based on the package dimensions , weight, and distance to the buyer. Never use eBay's suggested shipping prices, always enter your own package dimensions and weight and select calculated shipping on the listing form
If the box is very oversized I recommend using UPS on Pirateship.com... The site is free to use and you can compare the best discounted prices that way.
The advantage of using Pirateship over eBay is if you need to file an insurance case for UPS it's much easier.
