Shipping exclusion list displays incorrectly
Hi ebay community,
I have recently opted in to the new ebay international shipping program. In the past, I shipped only to the U.S., but I currently have some items that I think might sell better overseas. When I tried creating a new listing, under the Shipping, returns, and payments tab I was still seeing an exclusion list with every country (except the U.S.) listed. I chatted with ebay support, and the agent walked me through setting up a business policy that specifies that no countries are excluded, as shown below:
I used this policy for a new listing and the Shipping tab now shows that the item ships Worldwide (formerly it said United States), but the exclusion list still lists all countries.
This is a scheduled listing that hasn't started yet, but I have also tried creating a live listing and it has the same problem.
I don't want to go back to the tech support chatline because the agent and I were having trouble communicating and I thought I'd give the community a try.
Thanks.

OP3 years agoI found a hack to work around this issue and thought I'd post it in case someone else has this problem and finds my post. If you create a shipping policy that has one country excluded (I used Tuvalu -- my apologies to the 11,000 Tuvalans), it will override what in my case is the default ebay behavior of excluding all countries. The exclusion list displayed in your listing will now include some countries that ebay doesn't currently ship to (e.g. Russian Federation, Venezuala) plus your one excluded country. Of course, YMMV.
