Shipping drumset

Hi! Please need ideas about shipping a whole drumset within Florida...I have been to UPs and USPS but I find the shipping way too expensive. I'd appreciate any idea ...Thanks!

If you removed the heads, would you be able to nestle the shells inside one another â€“ with appropriate cushioning, of course â€“ and get everything including hardware into one box? Maybe a box like a washer/dryer or a kitchen range came in? It would be dang heavy, but at least it wouldn't be multiple boxes. I have a set of drums I'd like to sell, because I want to get a downsized set. Mine is very large and I want to sell the whole enchilada: drums, stands, cymbals and there's a lot of them, and everything else. There's no way I'd even think about shipping them. It would have to be local pickup only. I've wondered if I'd be able to suggest pickup by the buyer's agent, with the option that if the buyer couldn't manage an agent, I would provide one from this end, who would deliver the drums in return for mileage compensation. I've thought of a couple of snags that I haven't been able to think of how to overcome, though.

This is something best sold for local pickup only. Otherwise, look around for a small local trucker or mover that typically services your state at reasonable rates that will do a blanket wrap move and often for a flat rate if on their regular route.
