Shipping Deduct cost for Lable
I see $17.50 removed from my Sales amount for Shipping Lable; What is this ?
Order total** $108.81 What you earned Order total $108.81 eBay collected from buyer
Sales tax -$6.86
Selling costs Transaction fees -$14.82
Shipping label -$17.48
The actual cost for shipping this item was $8.50 paid after I was paid ;
What is the $17.48 deducted for ?

OP1 year agoThis is insane thinking about the 20 yrs of Shipping deducts that are higher than the amount I used for the actual shipping cost
so if they Dedected $17;50 from the total buyers money and I paid $8:50
where does the balance end up? with Ebay ? Ebay keeps the balance ?
is there a option to not have Ebay deduct a Shipping cost? and then I pay out of my Account at Shipping time ?

I misunderstood you.
When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.
- Then you pay for the shipping label.
- The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.
- The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.
If the buyer paid $17.50 for the label and you paid $8.50, you made $9.00 on shipping.
From your gross sales (Price + Shipping, if any + Sales Tax) eBay will deduct
Sales Tax (remitted to the state)
Shipping labels
Final Value Fees FVF
Insertion fees (if any)
Promoted listing fees (if any)
Store Fees (if any)
etc.

Here are some sample numbers which might be helpful:
Example $40 price + $17.50 shipping + $2.50 Sales Tax = $60Total paid by Buyer
You get $40 + $17.5 = $57.50 (eBay handles sales tax)
- $8.25 (Selling fees $60 x.1325 = $7.95 + .30 = $8.25 -- 13.25% is the FVF for most categories)
- $7.50 (Shipping whatever the ACTUAL label costs.. could be $3.50 or $15.00)
$41.75 Net to you.

eBay won't charge the buyer any shipping if you choose "free shipping".
But the math will still be the same

Excess postage paid by the buyer is profits for the seller.

Did you pay $8.50 at the counter?
It sounds like you bought a label on eBay and didn't use it.
Here's how to cancel (or void) a shipping label you purchased on eBay:
- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/my-ebay
- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.
- Choose your reason for canceling the label. If you want to, you can add a message for the buyer.
- Select Cancel (or Void) shipping label.

You should always use eBay labels since the cost is less expensive.
Enter the correct weight and dimensions in your listing. Don't use the "estimates"

I have been paying at Ebay shipping page - Then I see the deduct $8:50 from my Paypal page or any of the Lable purchases over the last 19 yrs
So I just noticed this after 19 yrs - please confrim EBay charges for a Shipping lable ? ? then I pay at shiping time thru Ebay shipping ? and they further deduct that charge ?? is there a optin to not haveEbay deduct a Shipping cost>?
