Shipping costs to buyer across the country
Need some advice, it’s been awhile since I sold something on eBay.
i sold two vintage bedspreads yesterday, identical pattern and roughly the same size. My buyer asked me beforehand if she bid and won on both would I combine shipping, yes sure I told her. Auction closes and I’ve got these packaged up in a 18 x 12 x 12 box. The weight is 12 lbs. the buyer lives the farthest I could have imagined, on the opposite coast, I’m in Georgia and this person is in Oregon. Is there any way I could find out what her shipping quote was for each auction? I’m coming up with 50 to ship. That seems ridiculous except that I did it on the usps site with weight and box size calculations based on zip codes. I’d really like to know what it ( the listing) told her the cost to ship ONE EACH was because I’m curious to know how at combined shipping this is saving her money. I haven’t told her yet, because I’m afraid I won’t have saved her anything! But I remind myself the size of the box is the smallest I could get them both in, and they are being shipped a long way with today’s current shipping prices. Thank you for any help and advice.

Mentor1 year agoYou can go to each listing and when you click on SHIPPING DETAILS, enter the buyer's zip code and see what it costs to ship. Is the 18x12x12 for one box, or for both items combined? Due to the size of the package, combined shipping might not save her any money.
