Shipping Costs
I am trying to list an item and set a fixed shipping cost. It doesn't give me the option to add shipping for the buyer to pay. It is only letting me select the discounted shipping rate, which is much lower than it will cost me to ship. i have gone through the tutorials, and everything it says to do it not in my options. Help.

OP3 weeks agoThank you. I never selected anything for shipping. Maybe I just delete and try again. This is confusing.

Mentor3 weeks ago@rawrap02 I see that you selected standard tracked shipping on the listing. It is set up as calculated shipping but it can NOT calculate correctly unless you are using a shipping method that is offered on the site such as Ground Advantage.
Is there a reason you are not using USPS ground advantage as the shipping method?
You want to be sure to use a shipping method that is integrated with eBay so you have tracking proof of delivery.
You may not be able to add the tracking that you buy offsite to the sold listing so keep that in mind. No tracking proof of delivery means that the buyer can say they didn't receive the item even if they did and you will have to refund the buyer. No tracking also means longer fund holds.
eBay shipping labels cost less than at the post office. If you set up your listing with buyer pays calculated shipping then the buyer will pay the correct shipping price to their zip code.
You can choose not to pass on the eBay shipping discount to buyers in account settings.

Buyers do like to know what shipping company you will use to ship. If you wish to stick with the generic Standard Tracked Shipping AND charge flat rate these are the steps>
I strongly recommend you use ground advantage>
These listing examples were created using the listing tool in Seller Hub on a computer.
