shipping costs
I recently made an offer on an item that was accepted by the seller. I paid for it plus Ebay's outrageous international shipping costs... but the seller had to cancel the order because Ebay wanted to charge him another $15 postage cost, saying it was because of the US Postal service fee to ship to me in CANADA yes CANADA. Seller says it was eating into his profit too much.. What's going on with Ebay??? Are they getting much too GREEDY or what...

eBay is not involved with mistakes Sellers make on their listings in the area of shipping. We see issues with this on a regular basis and often advise Sellers to eat the cost of their mistake and ship to their paying customer and then figure out what they did wrong.
Now, having said that and as @comics-scifi-collectibles suggested if you can provide the eBay item number from the item in your purchase history, it may have clues as to what the Seller did wrong.

It sounds like the seller doesn't understand how to set up their shipping correctly.
