Shipping costs

Question

I put in the actual size of the item, when it sells the shipping cost is to low and I end up losing money. Why does this happen and how can I fix it if the buyer had already paid.

You will need to cover any different in cost yourself. You cannot ask the buyer to pay more after the item is sold. For the future:

You need to enter the package size, not the item size, so that could be the problem.
You need to round up the weight. If the package weighs 2 lbs 1 oz, it ships at the 3 lb rate.
If you purchased postage at the post office instead of through eBay, you may be passing along your shipping discount to the buyer. If this is the case, you can change your setting to use Standard rates without discount (down at the bottom) here:
