Shipping Costs?
Ebay estimated the shipping cost for a recent sale to be $7.80. When I went to the post office, they told me the cheapest option was $24. How do I prevent that sort of mistake in the future?

·2 years agoYou have all your comics listed with Media Mail shipping, as mentioned they do not qualify for Media Mail.
This could be a cause of many problems to come. The Post office is allowed to open Media Mail items and if the items don't qualify the buyer will be charged for Priority mail.
Once this happens all your Media Mail packages will be opened .

OP2 years agoHi rock.star, as noted above, that's not the issue here. It was USPS First Class Mail International Large Envelope, which ebay estimated at $7.80.
As an aside--which is not relevant to my original question--it's my understanding that individual comic books can't be shipped media mail, but graphic novels and trade paperbacks can. Again, that's not relevant to my OP.

Comics cannot be shipped media mail.
