If you don't have a postal scale, you shouldn't buy your labels online unless you can ship via Priority Flat Rate. If you pay too little, you'll need to buy a new label at the post office and then come home and void the original label. If you pay too much, there will be no refund for your over-payment.
If you're going to start selling on eBay, one of your first purchases should be a postal scale. They cost about $30 or less and can be written off as an expense when you do your taxes for your eBay business. Mine is still going strong after 19 years.
