shipping cost to seller vs. buyer -- what happened?

On my last 2 sales, It seems that I am now charged the same amount for shipping that the customer pays, yet It looks like eBay still takes 15% of that gross shipping charge. meaning my profit margin on the item sold is now much lower. What happened?

You should have gotten an email about this change to offer buyers the discounted shipping rates.

You can either

Add a handling charge in the listing to cover the fees on shipping
Increase the sales price to cover the fees on shipping
Offer a custom discounted rate to pass some of the discount to your buyers
Charge your buyers Standard rates without discount so the buyer pays retail again

Select "Custom discounted rates" or "Standard rates without discount"

OK thanks. I went to your link. So the old way it did it automatically for me was "standard rates without discount" I see my default right now is "Ebay discount rates" Does my conclusion seem correct?
