SHIPPING COST MUST BE WRONG
I just sold an old Canon camera late yesterday where the buyer pays for shipping. They paid $5.85 and then Ebay charged me $6.29 for the shipping label. I haven't shipped it yet. Going out today. Why am I paying for any part of the shipping?

A while back, eBay announced that they were automatically changing the default on Calculated shipping to where the Seller passes along their eBay shipping discount to their Buyers. It was then up to each Seller to opt out of that. It's possible your default is set to give your Buyers your discount. You can check by going to your Account Settings>Shipping Preferences.

Mentor1 year agoSince buyers cannot actually purchase the shipping label the money for the shipping is included in the buyers payment for you to purchase the label. As to the price difference, You appear to have placed the $5.85 as a fix rate shipping amount. However, Ground Advantage shipping is based on the weight, package dimensions and the distance from you to the buyer. You needed to use calculated shipping so the buyer would pay the correct amount for the shipping to them instead of a flat rate.
