Shipping Cost Changes
I have my first ever auction listing. My item is 6lbs including the packaging. I realize I have under priced my shipping especially if it sells internationally. Can or should I revise my shipping cost before the end of the auction? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated as I am new to this. Thank you in advance!

You can Edit the listing if:
-There are no bids on it
-There is more than 12 hours remaining in the Auction cycle
-Use the Calculated shipping setting for Domestic sales, International shipping can be set up differently IF it is turned on for the listing.
-You can have a Domestic return policy and a separate International return policy

Mentor3 years agoYour item has bids - you can not change it now. Your item is only set up for US shipping, so if an international buyer purchases it, you will be able to send an invoice with higher shipping, or you can cancel the transaction as problem with buyer's address.
If your buyer is in the US, you must honor the shipping in your listing.

OP3 years agoThis is such a learning and scary experience. When I noticed I had bids from out of the country I realized I must have incorrectly listed my items. Thank you for your help. I'm embarrassed to say I wasn't aware this would happen.

Mentor3 years ago@kwil9629 Foreign Buyers can have US Addresses (freight forwarding companies), this allows them to log into the US eBay domain, bid or buy and have items shipped to their US addressed freight forwarding company. Sellers only ship to that address and it is the Buyer's responsibility to pay to get the item from the forwarding company to their country. On a return Sellers are only responsible to the US address NOT the one in the country the Buyer is from.
Prior to eBay's Managed Payments when we all used PayPal they had a setting that would BLOCK foreign funding sources. eBay's Managed Payments does NOT have that setting sorry to say.
As a Seller, you can Cancel any or all bids on an auction, you need the eBay item number and the Bidder's ID and can cancel bids here: Cancel buyer's bids | eBay
You can also add ANY member to your blocked list on your Buyer Management page here: Buyer Management | eBay
