Shipping Cost
I sold 2.5 DEF on ebay. I put it down as free shipping. When I went to the post office, they wanted to charge me $100. I see people sell 2.5 DEF and either ask for free shipping or $5.99 for shipping.
Why is shipping $5.99 for them but not me?
How do I determine shipping cost, especially for a large item ?

Shipping charges are determined by the weight and dimensions of the packaged ready to ship item. Any package over one cubic foot (12x12x12 inches) will be subject to the weight calculated by DIM (Dimensional) weight and not the actual weight of the package. The USPS may also have considered the item to be a hazardous material and added an additional fee to the shipping charge.
