shipping cost
hello community,
with me as the seller, when i post a listing and have the buyer pay for shipping. and the buyer does just that. why is it that that same shipping amount is pulled from my debit card. and on the "view orders page" it shows that the cost of shipping was taken out just like it shows the transaction fee taken out. and them it shows my earnings. to me it seems like the buyer is paying for shipping and then i also am paying for shipping.

Mentor5 months agoThat's the way it works. YOU pay to ship the item to the buyer. The BUYER pays you (through Ebay) for your shipping charges shown on the listing when they pay for the item.
The money that the buyer pays for your shipping charges will be part of your payout from Ebay.

OP5 months agobut on the view orders page it shows the items total transactions. it shows what the buyer paid then it shows what taxes were on the item and they were subtracted from the total amount paid. then the transaction fee is subtracted from the total amount paid then shows shipping being subtracted from the total amount paid. and at the bottom is my earnings.

OP5 months agobut the money the buyer paid for shipping was not part of my pay out. ebay shows it as being subtracted like taxes and transaction fees are.
