Shipping Company Lost but then Delivered product after an appealed case was closed

Is anyone else having shipping issues with UPS, USPS and FedEx losing their products that were shipped to buyers? We have so many that we have appealed. Shipped on time then mysteriously lost in their system. We appeal the case and eBay sides with the shipping company. We are left with a negative on our account and cannot re-appeal the cases once the refund has been made and eBay closes the appeal. Then a month later the buyer receives their package and we are out both money and product along with it affecting our selling status.

Ebay USPS if fine to use, but ebay UPS/FedEx is not, because ebay remains in the middle of any resolution.

At the first signs of a late delivery file a claim with the carrier. At 21 days whether delivered later or not the claim will be paid.

If an expensive item it may be worth having the package intercepted and returned to you rather than risking it be being delivered late after a refund.

If a buyer opens a case and tracking still shows it in transit, ask ebay for an extension for any refund.

@walkup-family-treasures-1972 Sorry that this is happening to you. If tracking shows recent movement then you can contact CS to put the case on hold, I believe it's a 7 day extension. IF no extension then you need to refund before the buyer can ask eBay to step in and force a refund on the 4 business day or you receive a Defect and do not get your sellers fees back.

You can reach out to the buyer and say I see that your item has arrived. Offer a discount for the delay, part of your money is better than none. They can snail mail you a check or you can make arrangements for a electronic payment via paypal or other method. This is not considered an offsite sale as the transaction already took place.

You will be happy to hear about the new Seller Protections that start in October.

If an item was delivered after a refund was issued, eBay will reimburse the seller for item costs and remove any negative or neutral feedback resulting from delayed delivery.
