shipping charges on my credit card instead of buyer's payment

Small amounts keep ending up on my credit card instead of being taken out of buyer's payment. I usually ship right after payment. Do I need to wait longer for the buyer's payment to process so my card doesn't keep getting hit for small charges?

YOU pay the shipping costs to ship the item. The buyer pays you for the price of item + your shipping charges.
