Shipping charges..
Hi All, the shipping charges posted are not able to be used. The shipping rates will be higher than posted. Can this be changed or should I remove the listing?
TY.

Those are two of the three options available to you.
Change: You might be able to edit -- change or revise -- your listing. Depending on whether it's an auction, how many bids have been placed, and how much time remains on the auction, you are allowed to edit the listing.
IF you are using calculated shipping, you will need to make sure that the item's packaged weight and size dimensions are accurate.
Remove: Auction listings can be cancelled only if there are more than 12 hours left before the end of the auction and there are no bids. If you cancel an auction that does have bids, eBay can charge you their Final Value Fees. Buy It Now listings can be cancelled at anytime.
The third option you didn't mention is to complete the sale. Whether it's an auction or a Buy It Now listing, once the buyer pays, through eBay, both your buyer and eBay expect you to ship the item to the buyer at the address given to you by eBay.
If the buyer did not pay shipping charges that are exactly what eBay/USPS is requesting from you, you will have to make up the difference. You are not allowed to ask the buyer to
cough upchip in any additional money toward shipping.Yes, that might mean you receive a smaller profit and payout than you hoped for.
It might mean you have a loss.
That is a risk all sellers take, whether they are selling through eBay or their own website or any other online selling platform.
It is also a lesson than many, many eBay sellers have learned.
