Shipping charges
The shipping cost for the item I sold was more than the sale price. How is this supposed to be fun? I am shipping it from Florida to California so I guess that is one problem. Is there a cheaper way that I can ship items other than using eBay’s link

Mentor7 months agoYour sold picture frame is made of stone, so it is going to be HEAVY, and on top of that, you offered free shipping. I would only offer free shipping on light weight items. You cannot ask the buyer for any additional shipping costs. Use this as a "cheap" lesson.

In general, shipping with eBay shipping is less than bringing it to the carrier. eBay offers online rates compared to counter rates at the carrier.
And YES, shipping is expensive and is going up all the time.
The cost of shipping is something you need to consider when listing items.
If you use buyer pays calculated shipping with the correct size and weight of the package when you list the item, you will be more likely to have charged the correct shipping no matter where in the country the buyer is.
