Hello all,

I have a seller edict question:

I recently sold a purse listed for 20 plus shipping. I listed the shipping weight and size accurately. I noticed that the buyer had paid for shipping around $7.50 but when I pulled it up it was $9.33. I paid the difference, mostly because I'm doing this to clean out my house and make a little money while doing it, but that basically ate any profit I might have made.

The customer picked priority USPS shipping where as other shipping methods were in fact around $ 7.50 which was UPS and other ground USPS.

Should I or Could I have changed the shipping choice to the closer associated shipping payment or would that have been against proper edict?

I understand some people have shipping issues with certain suppliers. I personally find that Fed Ex is unreliable in our area and would not want anything shipped to me via Fed Ex. But Ground USPS was also available vrs. priority. And if the buy selects a higher priced shipping shouldn't that reflect on the ebay shipping price taking the decision making out of the picture for the shipper?

What is the general community feeling?
