shipping charges
I sold an item on eBay and when I packed it for shipment, I found a better method. As a result, the shipping charges were greatly reduced. the buyer already paid for the greater amount. Should eBay or I make up the difference to the buyer?

·1 year agoeBay paid you whatever was displayed to the buyer for the shipping cost. If you wish to change the shipping method from the one displayed on the listing, I would strongly recommend getting the customer's permission unless it is an upgraded service within the same carrier. If it was a cheaper service, my assumption is that it was likely slower or a different carrier, which may lead to an upset customer.
If the customer is ok with the change, you can choose to send a partial refund for the difference by selecting Send Refund from the dropdown menu on the Order Details page or on the left in your list of orders.
