shipping charges
I bought two separate items from one seller. The items were combined and shipped in 1 package with 1 tracking number. Why was I charged shipping for both items? they were relatively small and light.

Not all Sellers combine and reduce shipping and handling costs that Buyers pay. Sometimes Buyers can "request and updated invoice" (when immediate payment is NOT required) in hopes a Seller will combine and reduce the shipping and handling if possible.
Some Sellers will refund the overage on combined items that require immediate payment. I do that on my Buy it now items all the time.
You can certainly message the Seller and ask them if they will refund you the shipping overage.
Some Sellers view the shipping and handling as an opportunity to make additional profit on their items.
