Shipping charge to Puerto Rico correct?
I sold a wheel and its shipping to Puerto Rico. I printed a label off ebay and its only charging me $7.60 for shipping which doesnt seem like enough to me. Is this charge correct? and will I get hit with hidden fees and delivery charges?

OP2 years agoThanks for the info. The buyer paid a $35 flat fee for shipping. When I listed the wheel, I chose FedEx because I expected to ship with FedEx. However the label that I downloaded from eBay and printed out was a USPS label which I'll just drop off at our local post office. And according to eBay, they will only deduct $7.60 for the shipping label. Just wanted a second opinion whether that charge might be correct or not. Thanks for your help! This is the first item I've ever sold on eBay.

Mentor2 years ago@Anonymous. No. That's not the way to handle this. 7.60 is NOT enough shipping to send this item ANYWHERE.
Take it to the counter if you don't believe me and they will tell you. You had the wrong package size, weight, or shipping method selected for USPS.
They will refuse the package or if you drop it off it can either be returned to you and not shipped, be delivered postage due, or USPS may bill you the correct price with a fine too .

OP2 years agoOk I'll just void the shipping label as mentioned above and take it to the counter and ship it from the Post Office. Thanks

Mentor2 years ago@Anonymous. Can you weigh and measure the package at home? If so then you can select purchase ANOTHER shipping label on eBay and it will cost less than at the post office.
On the label page select advanced on the upper right and enter the correct information then select usps ground advantage as the shipping method.
If you buy the label at the post office then be sure to add the new tracking number to the sold listing. You can't remove the incorrect one. Select edit next to the tracking number and then add. Let your buyer know which tracking number to watch.

OP2 years agoSo I already bought a shipping label from the post office and I'm ok with what they charged me. How do I process this order to show that it has shipped and add the tracking number? (this is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow 01/09)

Mentor2 years ago@Anonymous Puerto Rico is a US Protectorate and USPS rates are the same to ship there as shipping to the farthest domestic zone from you.
EDIT TO ADD>>. I see that you are shipping VIA FED EX that is a problem. Fed Ex WILL add a surcharge to the $35 shipping charge that the buyer should have paid.
Check your order details and see what the buyer paid for shipping here>
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS
You can void the shipping label that you are not using here>> https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/seller-hub
Then you will be refunded for the label in about 2-3 weeks on your all transactions page here>
https://www.ebay.com/mes/transactionlist?sh=true
Let me know what you find out about what the buyer paid and what shipping label you actually purchased.
