Shipping charge discrepancies
I sold an item for $35.00. I correctly listed the size and weight of the oversized item on the shipping information section of the listing. Actual shipping cost is $94+ dollars. Buyer paid only $44 for shipping. What happened here? Even including the cost of the item, it's going to COST me $10.00 out of pocket to get this buyer the product. What should I do?

OP1 year agoIt's me, the original poster! Very helpful customer service agent found the problem - I had used a similar item for the template for my listing (Have one like this? Sell NOW) but that seller had a Fixed Shipping Rate, so even though I faithfully input the size of my package and weight (much larger than the other item) it retained the fixed, much lower shipping cost from the original item. BUT the customer service agent found a cheaper option within the shipping window for me and helped me create a new shipping label for delivery! So kudos to her and I've learned to pay VERY close attention to the shipping to make sure nothing from another seller's item carries over into my listing!
