shipping changes
why shipping changes at time of listong a packge i.e. 3 oz from $4.47 that ebay tells you that is cost , then buyer pays that amount and at time of labelling changes to 5.57 we only making $.55 its not fair et price and that is it.....

Sadly, we have no account access but we see a lot of mistakes by newer Sellers in the area of shipping so let's unpack some of this for you.
-First, when you print your labels through eBay you get a discount off all services EXCEPT USPS Media Mail.
If the actual weight is off enough from the listing's weight the Buyer pays one amount and you pay another amount. Additionally, since you get no discount you will lose money on a Media Mail label if your cost is the same as the what the Buyer pays. That is because you still pay eBay Fees on the paid shipping plus sales tax from the Buyer.
-Next, make sure you are not sharing any of your eBay discount on your label purchase price: Shipping Preferences
You can double check that on the page link in the Carrier rate settings section.
-If you have inadvertently used a Flat rate instead of the Calculated setting you can see a difference in what a Buyer pays and what you are charged for the actual package.
-You will need to go back through your listings and double check all of your shipping section settings, shipping method, package type, weight , dimensions.

OP7 months agoMR LINCOLN Thank you for attending my concern...a bit confusing i guess someone is anxious to make a bit of money is just that its simple when i list a 3 oz item and when i pay i loose ok lets not worry and go for it and have fun

Anything you list from 1 to 4 OZ will cost you the same to ship regardless of what the Buyer pays.
