Shipping and Listing
Appreciate any help as I am a new seller. First, I'm finding I am paying more for shipping than what is calculated and what buyer pays. Also, my listing limit was cut off but I thought I could list 250 in a month. I've only listed 66.

Mentor2 years agoNew sellers have listing limits (not to be confused with the number of free listings available - the listing limit trumps the free listings count). Learn about listing limits here:

As for shipping...
When you buy your labels on eBay you receive a discount. Are you buying your labels on eBay or at the carrier (where you'll pay more)? You also have a setting that you can use to determine whether to pass the discount or a portion of the discount on to the buyer. Check that here:
Be sure that you enter the correct (and same) parameters on the item listing as well as the listing creation page unless you need to make an edit when purchasing the item. Be sure that you select options that your item qualifies for (for example you can only use Media Mail or eBay Standard Envelope for certain items).

OP2 years agoThank you so much! Did not know that about listing. I do not get the discounted labels as I do not have a working printer right now but I will look into the information you sent. Thanks again!

Mentor2 years agoI see that most of your listings are fixed price. That means they are GTC-Good Til Cancelled. Each one relists after 30 days, so when it does, it is counted against the 250 free listings per month.
I see you have a store subscription. Is that for the starter store?

Mentor2 years agoThanks for posting back. You will definitely not want to pass on a discount to the buyer as you are paying full price for shipping at the carrier right now. So go to that link I gave you, and edit it so that no discount is passed on.
Shipping is the trickiest part to learn as a new seller. There are so many nuances, ins and outs, and gotchas. You will eventually become a pro, but it takes some time. Remember that you have this board manned with experienced members to help when needed.
