Shipping adjustment charge
I got hit with a couple adjustments to my shipping on 2 orders. Not a big deal, except that they are charging me $45.71 for each thing, which cannot be correct. I understand a 4 or 5 dollar charge. I get them every so often, not a huge deal. But 45? And this is on 2 seperate tickets. Both through ups. Any ideas?

Mentor7 months agoUnfortunately it is possible. UPS (and other shipping carriers including USPS) have surcharges for long packages. Even though the package may be within the standard of one cubic foot the carriers surcharge long packages since they take up too much room in the delivery vehicles. This fee is assessed when the package goes through the carriers sorting system and not when the package is turned in. The clerk should warn you of the additional charge that may be imposed but usually will not do this.
