shipping address system of EBAY does not accept right address
Summary: hsuanhaoliang is experiencing a problem with entering the ZIP code for TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lakeland on eBay. Though the address is correct according to the hotel's listing and Google Maps, eBay's system rejects it. hsuanhaoliang is seeking advice on how to resolve this issue.
I'm planning to stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lakeland, and I have a package that I need to pick up there. However, when I enter the hotel's address on eBay, the system says that the ZIP code is incorrect.
The address, "3370 US Highway 98 North, Lakeland, Florida, USA, 33805," is the official address listed by Marriott, and it is also shown on Google Maps.
However, eBay's shipping address system does not accept this address.
Could you please let me know what I should do?

Below is some information I found. While some hotel deliveries are successful others are not for different reasons.
Why eBay May Not Accept a Hotel Address for Delivery
eBay’s shipping rules require that you ship exactly to the address the buyer selected at checkout and that you follow the shipping service they chose. While eBay allows you to enter a hotel address in the buyer’s profile or at checkout, there are several reasons why it might not work smoothly or why you could face issues:
1. Address validation and format issues
eBay’s system may reject or flag addresses that are unusual, such as hotel names without a specific room number or street address. If the address is too long, contains special characters, or doesn’t match standard delivery formats, the system may block it. This can lead to delivery problems or even order cancellations if the shipping service (e.g., USPS, UPS) can’t process it.
2. Lack of a specific delivery location
If the hotel address doesn’t include a room number or a known delivery point, the carrier may not know exactly where to send the package. This can cause delays or returns. Some sellers work around this by shipping to the hotel’s main address and arranging for the buyer to collect it.
3. Signature confirmation requirements
Orders over $750 require signature confirmation, and if the buyer is staying at a hotel, they may not be present to sign for the package. This can lead to disputes or claims if the buyer later says they didn’t receive it.
4. eBay’s item location policy
While not directly about hotel addresses, eBay’s seller policies emphasize that you must ship to the address and service chosen by the buyer. If the hotel address is unusual or not a standard delivery point, it could be flagged as non-compliant, especially if it’s not a common or verified delivery location
