shipping address?
I sold an item and the buyer paid, then sends me an email thru ebay asking to ship to a different address. Should I do this and will I be held accountable if it doesn't arrive?

Mentor3 years agoYou need to ship to the address the buyer selected at checkout and that you see on the order details in order to maintain your seller protection.
First double check to make sure the member asking for the change has the same ID as your buyer. If so, let the buyer know that you'll need to cancel the transaction (using the reason that there is an issue with the buyer's address). Then relist, provide the buyer with the new item #, and instruct him to select the correct shipping address at checkout before he completes payment.
If it's not the same member ID, you're dealing with a scammer who's trying to get you to redirect the package to him.

Mentor3 years agoBest not to do this. Cancel the transaction for an address problem and relist for buyer to purchase and pay with the correct address to preserve your ebay seller protection.
