shipping a sold item thru ebay
How long after I sell a item will the shipping label still be available for me to purchase thru the ebay site. I sold a item 1/2/26 and are currently out of town till 1/23/26. Will the shipping label still be available to purchase thru ebay then or does it disappear after so many days from sale.

Mentor8 months agoYou have a problem for that item. You did not use the Time Away option so eBay will expect you to ship within your three day handling time. Shipping on the 23rd will earn you a shipping defect on your account. Normally a label should be available during your stated handling time so I do not know exactly if the label can still be printed through eBay after this long.

-Did you message the Buyer of those golf clubs and make sure that shipping them late is okay? If not then ask them to message you to cancel and then you can do that without getting a strike on your account by using the cancellation reason, "Buyer requested."
-You have 3-day Handling time so if you purchase the label on the 23rd you will get a late shipping defect on your account. But yes, you can wait that long to print your label through eBay.
-eBay has a Time away feature you should seriously consider using until you get back to avoid this issue on the other 3 items you have for sale. Time Away | eBay

OP8 months agoContacted the buyer within a day of the completed sale 1/2/26 and he was ok with waiting till 1/23/26 for me to ship item. Not really worried about getting a strike on my ebay account for 1 late shipment.

A late shipping defect is not the end of the world, based on selling volume it will roll off your account in either 90 days or 12 months but will NOT affect your sales. If you got more of them then yes, it could be problematic, that's why I suggested to use the Time away feature now for the other 3 items you have listed for sale.
