Shipping a package that hasent been scanned by the carrier

i had recently shipped out a package this last saturday as well with 2 other packages, 2 of my packages got scanned and shipped out to my buyers, while one of the items havenâ€™t even been scanned by the carrier or even shipped out, is it lost? Or should I just be patient even though my other items have been shipped out already?

Your post office makes sure every package they take in leaves that same evening. So that package did leave your PO. The question is why hasnâ€™t it been scanned. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. Was it a small package? Was the label securely attached to the package, tape all around so it canâ€™t be torn off?

All you can really do is wait and see if it shows up. You can go to usps.com, track the package, then request text or email updates. Then you will know as soon as it is scanned.

Depending on how busy your PO is, you might consider standing in line for an acceptance scan. When you have multiple packages, use a SCAN form so the folks at your PO can do just 1 scan for all of your packages. If they grumble about scanning, gently explain that the acceptance scan is needed in case something happens to your package - it is your only proof of mailing.

To use a SCAN form, use bulk shipping to create your labels, then click SCAN form in the upper right when youâ€™ve printed all of your labels.
