Shipping a heavy item
I’m selling a motorcycle engine. What is the best way to ship it ? It’s over 400lb.

In a crate, on a pallet and shipped via Freight ... this help page has a section on integrated shipping carriers.
Setting up your shipping options | eBay
You can also list if for Local Pick up, either as a shipping option or ONLY local pick-up. However, your listing should specify how it will be put in the Buyer's vehicle when the come to get it ... or that they will have to put it in the vehicle.

I am selling a motorcycle engine, I offered a local pickup but that of course reduced the potential buyer amount significantly.
When I listed my item in the shipping part there were no carriers that would ship an item this heavy. When you said “freight” , what did you mean by that? Where can I find it on the shipping section?
Do you know freight shipping companies that ship for eBay? Because if I don’t include shipping option the buyer would only see local pickup.

The packaging and details might vary with the carrier, so that is something to research when deciding who you use to ship the item.
