Shipping a 9†x 12†envelope
Hi, I can’t seem to find any info on shipping something in a flat envelope, about 9†x 12â€, which is too large for the cut-rate eBay envelope. All other info on shipping seems to default to packages. But there must be plenty of folks selling flat paper goods & ephemera. Please advise—thanks!

You possibly can list and ship with first class mail shipping.
However, that shipping is not trackable and you have to purchase the postage at the post office.
The requirements for first class mail can be found on the USPS website. The post office has strict requirements.
Otherwise, the low price default to list and print and ship on ebay is usually USPS ground advantage. You can print that online and there is tracking.

eBay allows you to choose USPS First Class Envelopes as a shipping option on your listings however, you can not purchase shipping for First Class letters and flats (AKA Large envelopes ) on eBay, all first class postage must be purchased at a post office location.
For a piece to be mailed as a flat it must be flexible and dimensions not more than 15 inches long, 12 inches high, or 3/4 inch thick. It must be flat, which USPS defines as a variation in thickness not more than 1/4 inch. Details here:

Make sure your envelope fits the criteria. If it does not it is considered a package and you can purchase package labels including ground advantage through eBay labels.
