Shipping a 2lbs to 3lbs package without tracking.
Hi Mentors, I recently purchases an item from a seller that should be approx. 2lbs to 3lbs. It was to be shipped USPS GA. After 3 days I received notice that my item was shipped (untracked). Curious as to how this is done & by what shipping service. Thank You1

Mentor3 weeks ago · Edited@jbbowers12012 The seller may be dropshipping, which is not allowed unless they own the merchandise in the suppliers warehouse.
Something to keep in mind is that tracking while nice to have as a buyer is for the sellers protection to prove delivery.
Here's how to get your money back if your item is late arriving>
Look for the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history. You can file a refund request when the item is at least a day late.
You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on eBay.

4 business days after you file the refund request ask eBay to step in and help if the seller has not refunded you.

If it is more than 30 days past the last estimated delivery date then you can file a refund request on PayPal up to 180 days from the date of purchase. OR if you didn't use PayPal at checkout contact your bank or credit card to report that you didn't receive the item.

OP3 weeks agoDont' think this seller is dropshipping. One of a kind vintage items in his established store. My purchase was spools of vintage-antique fishing rod building winding thread.

Mentor3 weeks ago · Edited@jbbowers12012 The other issue is if they are a newer seller and didn't use eBay shipping labels they may not be able to upload the tracking if they bought the postage elsewhere. This is a fairly new site security measure to help combat false tracking. Either way you are protected by the eBay MBG.
