Why is ebay allowing the sales of items and a shipping label is made but it doesn't move for days. As a buyer paying for the shipping?

Mentor3 years agoWhen a seller prints the shipping label, ebay sends a message that the item has shipped, but the seller has a maximum of 3 days to get the package to the carrier. Many sellers have asked ebay to change that message to say the item will ship .

Mentor3 years agoSellers have until the end of their chosen handling time to get an acceptance scan from a shipping service before eBay considers the item as being "shipped late". Late shipping is something that eBay keeps track of internally rather than something that buyers can see.
In some cases, overseas sellers provide shipping that does not get tracked until the package reaches the US and is handed off to a domestic carrier for delivery.
Buyers can file an "item not received" claim one day after the last estimated delivery date shown in the Purchase History. After that, the seller has three business days to provide tracking that shows delivery. If not, the buyer can ask eBay to step in and refund the buyer.
