Shipping
I'm a new seller so bear with me. I sold a $4 item that weighs less than 3 oz (small coin). My listing included free shipping with note saying ebay standard envelope. However, that option is not available when trying to print shipping label. It's grayed out saying "Buyer" selected.?? It would not make sense for me to pay over $5 for usps ground advantage to ship a $4 item. I'm sure I'm misunderstanding. I'm confused and looking for advice. Thanks

Mentor1 week ago@tcsemperfi Unfortunately the ESE option is sometimes shown when creating a listing but not available when you go to print the label.
In the case of your listing it appears you listed in the LOTS section which you can not use ESE for.
You are going to have problems with shipping on your ALL of other listings too. For example this listing is also listed in the lots section.

THIS is the correct category>
Coins & Paper Money>Coins: US>Small Cents>Indian Head (1859-1909)
Listing in the correct category is important so that the shipping options will be correct AND so that buyers will better be able to find your coins.
For this listing you will need to chalk it up to "eBay tuition". All sellers pay a bit of "tuition" when they are learning how to sell on eBay.
You can not charge the buyer more for shipping than stated on the listing.
Just to be clear you need to revise the shipping method on ALL of your listings that had invalid categories. You can not revise a listing that has bids, open offers, or less than 12 hours on an auction.
My advice is to end the current listings that do not have bids and then revise them before relisting that way you won't have one sold with the incorrect shipping method.

OP1 week agoAhhhh! Thank you very much for the quick response. It's unfortunate but at least have time to correct the bulk of my new listings. Thanks again and have a great dayk!

OP1 week agoOn a different note. As I was going through my listings to correct today I noticed a couple had duplicated. What would cause that to occur? I deleted one of the listings, but would like to understand potential causes. Thank you.

Mentor1 week ago@tcsemperfi That usually happens if the seller ends a listing and relists to "refresh" a listing. Or other seller error.
We used to have a nifty tool that a fellow Mentor created that would check listings for duplicates. I bet if you quickly copied the listings into a Chat GPT program that it would find all duplicates for you.
