Shipping?
Summary: roche.candace purchased a WiFi adaptor for their old iMac but is facing issues because it requires an installation package, which they can't download due to lack of internet. The seller did not provide a CD or installation assistance, and roche.candace wants to return the product but is concerned about paying return shipping. rfmtm suggested downloading the driver at a library, while disneyshopper explained how to initiate a return on eBay for items 'Not as Described' and how the seller should provide a prepaid shipping label. disneyshopper also detailed the refund process through eBay.
Bought a WiFi adaptor for an old iMac, only device to fit my computer. No Internet service the reason for the purchase. For my desktop and older Version of Windows the device must have an installation package. Can be downloaded except bought the device because no cyber connection. Other uses do not always need the help but the seller has no CD or any accompanying assistance. I wish to return since the product is incomplete for me. He wants me to pay shipping. What does eBay community think, sadly of no value. Thanks

Mentor2 weeks agoWhat was the Item Number?
Did description say a CD was included, as generally they would not be an install CD.

Mentor2 weeks agoLocate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

Mentor2 weeks agoSuggest you contact the manufacturer as most hardware does not come with a CD.
Actually your machine should have recognized the new device and loaded at least a generic driver for it. Otherwise you will need to go to the library and download the driver to a CD or Flash Drive for you to use.
