Ok...so, maybe there's something I'm missing. If a buyer pays shipping, then why is the seller also paying shipping?

Ok...so, maybe there's something I'm missing. If a buyer pays shipping, then why is the seller also paying shipping?

Mentor2 years agoThe buyer pays eBay the total amount: item, shipping, sales tax.
eBay sends the sales tax to the destination state, takes its fees, gives the rest (including the shipping amount) to the seller.
From the proceeds, the seller can purchase a shipping label, because the seller is the one with a package that needs to be shipped.
