Question

Been buying on Ebay for 26 years. The last several purchases made on Ebay (with 1 or 2 exceptions) have been way off on the shipping time promised. Also, I purchased a window heat/ac unit. The one shipped was NOT the one I ordered. Neither the seller nor Ebay even bothered to answer my emails! I guess it's time to move to other sites. All good things must come to an end.

Shipping times are estimated ranges, not promises. Some sellers are better than others at fulfilling them. Checking seller feedback may give you some idea of what sort of seller you may be dealing with prior to making your purchase.

eBay has a money back guarantee for items that are not received or not as described. eBay does not have an email address for customer service issues. So rather than emailing the seller, try invoking your guarantee on the web site within thirty days of receipt or the last estimated delivery date.

For the Air Conditioner:

You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.

On shipping times, it's good to look at the seller's location and their feedback to see if they meet their shipping standards.
