shipping
If a buyer is charged extra shipping over what the shipping cost is , does ebay keep the extra or does it go to the seller.

eBay takes a percentage of the total sale (including shipping and sales tax). The rest goes to the seller. The seller can refund a buyer's over-payment (after factoring out the cost of packaging and fees on shipping).

OP8 months agoThanks , for your help. I was sending some along with their package. I wanted to check that ebay is not keeping it all. Thanks again.

Unless it's too late, don't send it with the package. When you issue a partial refund through eBay, you'll receive a credit for the fees you paid on the amount of the refund.
You'll see the option to send a refund in the dropdown next to the order transaction (click the three dots to see the menu).

Mentor8 months agoAssuming that you are asking as the seller you keep any excess shipping that was charged to the buyer. This is acceptable since shipping is more than just the actual label fee. However, if you overestimated the shipping charge greatly it may be nice to give a partial refund to the buyer.
