shipping
How do you lower shipping costs to what it 'actually' would be? I don't like overcharging, and I do not see where USPS pays you back for shipping overage?
I change the size of package as much as possible. But costs is still high.
I have however, been notified when a shipment cost more and paid for that.
Respectfully,
Diane

You can use ebay's shipping calculator to get a shipping cost for an item from your zip code to the buyer's zip code. Right now most of the domestic shippers are still adding a holiday surcharge for shipping. I know the USPS holiday surcharge is in place until Jan. 18, 2026.

Most shipping is based on package dimensions and weight, if you can find a smaller box to ship an item in it may not make much difference if the weight does not change by much. Costs can change by distance to the buyer's location from yours. If you have a larger item that is not very heavy you may charged Dimensional weight rates. Since it seems you mostly ship items using the USPS search their site for Dimensional weight shipping or DIM shipping.. The link below can help you set up shipping options.
