I feel I got ripped off with my international shipping. Ebay charged the buyer and also charged me an exuberant amount to print a shipping label even though the buyer paid also. I am confused. I called and finally got to talk to a supervisor after talking to three customer service agents that didn't have a clue what they were talking about. The supervisor gave me half of the buyers shipping back as a courtesy. WHOOPIE. I feel like I have been scammed. The supervisor told me that I should have not sold internationally and I had the option of not including that in the beginning. This is the first time I have used ebay and tried to read and follow all of their prompts and directions. It can be difficult even for someone that has been selling for awhile I believe. I have learned a valuable lesson. Not to sell internationally unless you can understand all of the fine print and rule and regulations and all of the people that you speak to at ebay because each one tells you a different story and hands you off to someone else that also doesn't know what the heck they are talking about. I am very disappointed in ebay. Maybe they should train their staff to know what they are talking about and not rip off the customers. Without customers, they wouldn't have a company. I just had to vent and I am not done voicing my complaint with the company itself.

Very frustrating, the customer service department is not very friendly. But your fellow sellers are. Glad you found us.

I looked at your sales and I only see the jeans which do not have international shipping on them.
Did you ship the jeans directly to the buyer or to a US eBay "hub"?
When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.
- Then you pay for the shipping label.
- The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.
- The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.

OP1 year agoHi and thank you for responding. I actually sold two pairs of jeans. One was to a person in Oregon. Obviously easy and quick with no issues. The second pair was international. That is the one that was a hassle. The shipping details did not reflect what I had put in and saved. There was no possible way that I would have put they could be shipped in a 9 1/2 x 12 envelope therefore ebay only charging the buyer $64.34. When I called ebay I was transferred to multiple agents and none actually were knowledgeable. The last one suckered me into paying an extra $85.55 and buying $14.99 for extra insurance because the package was supposedly only insured for $200. He told me I couldn't go through their ebay hub. I don't know why or anything about that so I just did what he told me. After looking further I felt like had been taken advantage of and tried to get some clarification. When I finally was transferred to a supervisor after speaking to 4 more agents he said the best he could do was give me a courtesy refund of half the buyers postage. I just feel ebay should work with you and walk you through the process and not be condescending and rude. If it wasn't for sellers and buyers there wouldn't be an ebay. Just venting! Thank you again. Next time I will come here first and ask questions before selling.
