No.
A seller should use the Time Away feature or extend their handling time to accommodate the days they will be in hospital.
Sellers that don’t ship on time according to their listing, will be dinged on their seller metrics.
If a seller told me they would need a couple extra days to ship because of an emergency, I would be understanding. Life happens and at least they are communicating with me.

this actually happened to me last month. I had a sudden emergency situation, and was literally unconscious for several days, so no way to contact anyone. Fortunately the buyer was very understanding. I’m sure i got dinged by eBay for the late shipping, but considering what I had just been through, that was the least of my concerns.
