How long can a seller hold your item purchased before shipping?

Mentor2 years agoUnless the seller told you he hasn't shipped, you would have no way of knowing he hasn't. As already advised, sellers must ship within their stated handling time. That is usually shown on the listing's Shipping, returns & payment tab but it is always included in the estimated delivery date that you agreed to when you made the purchase.
It doesn't matter when he ships, it matters when you receive the item
When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

Mentor2 years agoSellers have to ship within their stated shipping time. For example I have a one day shipping time, but often ship same day. Look at the listing to see what their shipping time is. They are not allowed to hold an item at the buyer's request, as they will get a defect on their account.
