Shipper wants item sent to address not on their account
I would like to know how to handle this. I have told the buyer that they can change the address in their account. How do they do that?
Thanks for your help!

Mentor3 years agoThe only time a buyer needs to change the address on his account is if he has moved or ALWAYS wants his package (for future purchases) sent to a different address. Changing the address on his account impacts future sales, not the current sale. For packages sent to friends, family, vacation homes, etc. all he has to do is edit the address as checkout.
As already advised, to retain seller protection, you should cancel the transaction for issue with buyer's address, relist, and ask the buyer to repurchase, selecting/adding the correct address at checkout.

Mentor3 years agoYou cannot do this. The correct procedure is to cancel the transaction (problem with address) and have the buyer re-purchase and change the address. Changing the address will cause you to lose your seller protection.

·3 years agoIf the buyer has already paid, changing the address on their account won't change anything.
You would have to cancel the order as a problem with the buyers address, relist and they can buy again using the correct address.
If they haven't paid, they can change the ship to address when they check out.
