Shipped wrong item to Ebay's Hub for Global Shipping Order
As title states, I got two labels mixed up and sent the wrong item to one of Ebays Global Shipping Hubs. The customer originally ordered a $50.00 Mass Air Flow Sensor, weighing less than 1 pound packed in a 6"x6"x6" in box. The item i accidentally sent was a 16.7 lbs OEM A/C Compressor for a 2016 Toyota Tacoma in 12" x 9" x 8" package worth ~$430.00. From my understanding of the global shipping program, once the item arrives at ebay's hub, they are suppose to open the package and verify the contents are correct before sending it out of the country. Nevermind that the package was 15 lbs heavier than it was suppose to be. None of this occured, and they just sent the a/c compressor on to korea without verifying its contents. Let me state that I purchased an identical label and sent another Mass Air Flow Sensor(the original item ordered) once i realized what happened and it was received at eBay's hub and sent on to korea. This tells me that ebay does not verify the contents of the packages they are sending out to global shipment program orders. What should i do here? I've already refunded the other buyer for the compressor and lost the item too, as well as sending the correct item to the buyer in korea. I understand this is my fault for getting labels mixed, but i thought surely they would send compressor back when they realized it wasn't even close to what the buyer ordered, especially being 15 lbs heavier. Any suggestions? Or just take the loss.
