shipped to wrong address
Summary: md_us_irma1a requested help after an item they ordered on eBay was shipped to the wrong address despite their attempts to update the address and contact the seller. They have not received any response from the seller. rfmtm suggested putting a forwarding notice at the old post office and setting an alert on the tracking, hoping that the recipient will return the item to the seller.

Can you all please direct me to the appropriate place for assistance?
I made an order sunday, and quickly realizing my old address was associated with my account, quickly contacted seller to advise her of my correct address and updated my current address in the system.
The item had not yet shipped, I asked her to please confirm reciept of my message.
She did not, although I provided personal phone number and email address as well, if easier to reach me that way.
The following day, I checked to see that the item had not yet shipped, again messaged seller directly with my correct address and requested confirmation that she had my correct message.
I still did not hear back.
Today, I recieved an Ebay email notifying me that teh item had been shipped, to the wrong address.
I cannot find an ebay source of help and the seller still has not responded to me.
How do I cancel order, knowing that item will be shipped back to seller?

Mentor3 weeks agoBest you can do now is put a forwarding notice at your old post office.
In the mean time put an alert on the tracking and hope the recipient turns it in for return to the seller.
