Shipped Package, Arrived Late/Damaged by USPS, Buyer Backing Me up...
Summary: leydcoop is seeking advice after facing challenges with an eBay transaction. They sold a sports card for $250, which was lost in the mail and arrived a month late, damaged, after eBay refunded the buyer. The buyer has offered to help, but eBay support insists that leydcoop is out $250. They want to know if there's any way to recover the funds, despite the package's belated arrival and damage.
I have had no luck so far with ebay support and I am wondering if someone can offer advice. Recently I moved and had numerous issues shipping from my local post office.. luckily I have since moved again.
I sold a sports card for $250. The package was lost in the mail for over a month, and ebay refunded the buyer. Suddenly it arrived and the buyer sent me a photo of the card and said he would help me get refunded however he could, but the card arrived having been damaged by USPS and a month late. It was truly all out of my control after I shipped on time.
Am I out $250 like ebay support keeps telling me, even with my card showing up and the buyer showing proof it arrived, damaged by USPS? This transaction is a couple months old now.
Thanks, I am grateful for any advice.

OP3 months agoside note: the same week of this transaction I received my first negative feedback in 10+ years of casually selling on this platform because of a similar issue with another card. Am I stuck with that negative feedback too despite shipping on time? Thanks
