Shipped item to buyer but USPS lost contents.
Hey all, I recently sent an item to a buyer. In the mail, the envelope was split open and the contents were lost. USPS continued to ship the empty envelope to the buyer. Obviously upon arrival, the buyer sees nothing in the envelope. It’s empty and the buyer contacted me for a refund. Am I on the hook for issuing a refund? Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Mentor1 year agoYou are. We are responsible for packages until the buyer receives it. You can also file a claim with USPS for the lost contents. Make sure you tell your buyer to hang onto the packaging. And you really should ask them for pictures front and back of the packaging.
